Vertical tabs not expanding properly on mouse hover when split tabs feature is enabled

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Enable vertical tabs and Splits tabs features if not enabled, hover mouse over tabs to expand the pane the tabs will be stuck in the middle while expanding

Expected result:
The vertical tabs should not stuck in between.

Brave Version:
Version 1.78.94 Chromium: 136.0.7103.60 (Official Build) (64-bit)

@nigagaga not seeing this issue on my end. Are you using Win10 or Win11? Also, can you confirm that this occurs for all sites in split view? Testing on Win11, I see the expected behavior:

hi @Mattches, unsplit the tabs and keep the split tabs flag enabled/default you will face the issue. Hover over the vertical tabs and change tab - can’t attach videos as i am a new user otherwise i would have attached the video

the issue is on windows 11, and yes this issue is there for all the sites

@nigagaga it may be because you have the flag enabled. You do not need the split-view flag enabled to use the feature as it has been implemented in the browser by default at this time.

Can you please disable the flag and then test and see if you get the same behavior?

@Mattches i have set the flag to default(enabled) and still getting this issue, when i change the the flag to disabled this issues goes away. This bug is somewhat related to split view
