Verifying Brave wallet

Description of the issue: I would like to transfer my BAT rewards to the Brave self-custody wallet. I understand this requires me to undergo an optional verification procedure via Uphold. Brave browser currently states verification via uphold is not available in my region, but i have nonetheless been able to create and verify an uphold account separately.

How can I now verify my brave wallet?

Are you using the (new) Brave Wallet or the (old) Crypto wallets implementation? Yes.

How can this issue be reproduced? Not sure.

Brave Version (check About Brave):
Version 1.46.144 Chromium: 108.0.5359.128 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:

You can create an Uphold account. Uphold is a crypto exchange and it is independent from Brave. With your account you can buy, sell, trade and stake crypto there.

However, receiving Brave rewards via Uphold is a distinct matter and it is restricted to certain regions.
If you region is not supported at the moment, you cannot get your rewards. Brave is working to bring more regions back. Your only option is to wait until your region is supported.

thank you Rodrige. A follow up question: is there a way to transfer my brave rewards into the integrate self-custody brave wallet without being verified? I think no but then again it isn’t obvious… am I alone in thinking there should be a way to bypass verification to preserve privacy given that is the whole premise of the Brave browser?

No. This would require KYC/AML. Also currently Brave doesn’t KYC/AML, so you’d have to run it through a custodial partner first.
