Verified but not enrolled?

I verified my wallet quite a few weeks ago but my status still says “not enrolled”. What am I missing? I’m just using the Brave wallet that it prompted me to set up. And then I believe it let me verify my Coinbase wallet, is that supposed to be allowed?

I’m using iOS, Brave version 1.71, (does Brave wallet not count?)
Do I need an uphold wallet?

What wallet?

What are you talking about?

You really are getting me confused here. Especially since you have created this topic under Brave Rewards. You can’t earn BAT on iOS and there’s no “verified wallet” on iOS either.

Under settings it says to verify wallet, correct? So I did so using a Coinbase wallet. But is that not work?

Also under brave reward settings it says this: enrollment state - “not enrolled”. How can enroll in rewards?

I have a wallet I set up in Brave. I can run Brave on my iPhone but are you saying I can’t get rewards on my iPhone?

Thanks!

Nope. Not on iPhone. This is part of why I am saying I’m a bit confused and was hoping you could provide more details of what you’re seeing. Especially in saying anything about verifying a wallet. On Desktop and Android, you can connect to Uphold in most countries. But it no longer says “verify” but instead is “connect.” It’s been like that for years now.

Correct. And nobody has been able to in over 4 years. This is because of Apple. You can see article about it at https://brave.com/blog/rewards-ios/

On iOS, we see the words as you notice here on the Rewards things. For enabling, it says to support Brave and the community by enabling Brave Rewards and seeing ads.

In comparison, other OS shows you a message that you can start earning if you connect. Something like below. Otherwise without connecting an account, it says the same as above, that we are helping support Brave and the BAT Community. In other words, not earning a thing for ourselves unless connected to a custodial account.

Also, if you check things like official page:

You’ll see things like the two clippings below, as well as some extra info. But at least kind of addresses what I’m referencing.

  • Is Brave Rewards available on all platforms? What are the system requirements?

Brave Rewards is available on all desktop devices (Linux, macOS, and Windows), and on Android mobile devices.

On iOS, Brave Rewards can only be used to support creators. Learn why.

What does it mean to support creators? How do I contribute to creators?

When you enable Brave Rewards for the first time, you’ll be indirectly supporting Brave Creators whenever you see Brave Ads. You won’t be able to direct your support to any specific creator, but we’ll earmark a portion of the ad revenue you help generate by viewing Brave Ads and distribute it to Brave Creators.
