Verdana font not working

Description of the issue:
Verdana font not working in Gmail in Brave. Works fine in Firefox, etc. This started quite recently – Verdana was OK previously.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Create or reply to a message in Gmail and try using Verdana typeface.

Expected result:
Verdana typeface should be working

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.39.111 Chromium: 102.0.5005.61 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Still no fix for this issue, and no sign of any acknowledgement. Guess it’s time to switch back to Firefox. Too bad – I like Brave.

Thank god I found this post - I thought I was going crazy. I am having the exact same problem and, for me at least, having the right font is more important than any security that the Brave browser offers.

Try . . . Go to Brave Browser > Settings > Shields

DISABLE: ‘Prevent sites from fingerprinting me based upon my language . . .’
