Using brave :> keeps appearing in address bar

you cant read anything in this box why do you make this forum box so small

Description of the issue:

every day when I get on my windows 11 pro computer it seems like someone sees me get on it then backdoors in and types :> in the address bar then leaves & then I Start getting spam calls… my machine is very clean & it seems like they are accessing things through brave but I am not sure how and I check my traffic and no strange incoming traffic but this happens every single day they come in and type just ONE :> smiley face and leave and is it our government is it hackers is if a brave bug is it actually people who are sending the robo calls

cliffs - they paste in “telepathy” or “:>” & other things into the address bar whenever I use my PC & I am a certified tech with a masters & I’ve redone my computer rebuilt redone the OS dozens of times

complete new hardware & software

& it still happens with brave ?? lately only brave ?? backdoored ?

if I don’t use brave it hasn’t happened so I’m going to stop using brave for awhile & see

This certainly would be a very strange issue. In order to troubleshoot the issue, would it be possible for you to share a short screen recording of the behavior? Perhaps just what it looks like when you launch the browser and the symbols appear in the address bar?

Additionally, can you tell me whether or not you have any extensions installed in the browser at this time?
