URL of downloaded pdfs viewed in the browser

When I view a pdf file in the browser and then download it, the downloads page lists the source of the pdf as (example):

blob:chrome-extension://oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm/8bd82fd2-9736-4961-abba-6aad89c01710

Is there a way to display the original URL of the file as I need it for reference purposes.

Not at this time – however, this will be fixed in future releases as we’ve switched our default PDF viewer from the previous PDF.JS implementation. These changes are already present in Nightly and Developer builds:

Hi Mattches,

In the meantime, I have changed the pdf setting to download pdf instead of viewing in the browser. This solves my problem for now.
