URL incorrect when previous tab closed

#1

I have noticed a strange behaviour in the URL bar when I have multiple tabs open. I am on a Mac running the latest software.

When I close a tab using Command-W, in the next tab, when my mouse is in the main window, the URL bar reads correctly, however when I move the mouse up to the URL bar to be able to highlight and copy the URL, the URL is now the URL of the previously closed tab.

This is reproducible on my machine. I have not been able to try on any other machine. Please advise if you need any further information on this issue.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for reporting @jmap,

Sometimes I saw same issue. An issue logged for this here

For workaround to bring back the URL, hit Esc key on keyboard.
Thank you,

URLs are incorrect on windows sometimes. Example: 2 tabs open… close tab #1 and #2 inherits URL for tab #1. I can record if necessary but seems to be known.

#5
  1. Open a new window
  2. Open some site in it, brave.com , for example.
  3. Open a new tab
  4. Open some other site in the new tab, github.com , for example.
  5. Click on the address bar to select the address
  6. Close the tab using Command + W

Actual result:
The address bar of the remaining tab contains github.com .

Expected result:
The address bar of remaining tab should contain brave.com .

Reproduces how often:
All the times I’ve tested, with any site that I open.

I’m not sure what that means. I downloaded the browser from the website, didn’t build by myself.
