URL EV SSL Display

Please require the Brave Browser to display EV SSL Certificates in the URL Prefix as traditionally done via Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.

It’s disheartening when I visit my company website and the EV SSL isn’t displayed in the search bar. There’s almost no visual indication that the website is owned by a valid and registered company. The only way to verify the integrity of a website is to manually explore the certificate drop down box.

With Brave

Snippet from (The Web)

An Extended Validation SSL Certificate (also known as EV SSL for short) is the highest form of SSL Certificate on the market. While all levels of SSL – Extended Validation (EV), Organization Validated (OV), and Domain Validated (DV) – provide encryption and data integrity, they vary in terms of how much identity verification is involved and how the certificates display in browsers.

I look forward to hearing what you have to say about this request.

Any news on this matter? I think it’s very important feature. The lack of support for EV Certificates should be considered a security flaw. Please Brave Team although this request does not receive a lot of attention it should be the highest priority, since security is one of the most important features of the Brave Browser.

Hello,
I think showing the company name in the URL can let people know more about the page they are visiting. Chrome and Firefox seem to stop doing this but it does not mean it is the right thing to do. Don’t you think so?

No update on this request?

IMHO As Chrome does this, so it might just require upstream merge.
