Here is the message I got from Uphold, which is the primary way I get out my Brave Rewards BAT.
To meet our regulatory commitments in Canada, we’ve introduced restrictions on accounts opened on or after February 15, 2025. As part of this update, these accounts can no longer receive deposits or incoming transfers. This does not affect your ability to manage or withdraw existing funds. Your account remains open and fully accessible for all other purposes.
I have no other options showing to link my Brave Rewards to, no other wallets. This may be a Canada thing, not sure. But where does this development leave my BAT?
If there are no alternatives, then I’ll just stop using Brave Rewards.

Hello - Did you create your Uphold account prior to February 15, 2025?
Hi, I created it quite recently, around March, so no, I created it after Feb 15, 2025
On-chain? Self custody to Solana…it’s been a thing for a while. It’s invite only but you can sign up for the waitlist and they tend to push invites out to people who sign up pretty quickly.
Check out PSA: Current and upcoming changes to Rewards and Creators - #14 by Saoiray I linked to the most relevant section of the topic, but you may like to browse through the top and rest of there as well.
The same on Italy. So it’s not just for Canada. Customer support doesn’t answer
Yeah, just received an email this email from Uphold:
We’re sorry to let you know that from today, June 11, Uphold will no longer support accounts in Canada.
Brave really need to support an alternative!
Now, the restrictions is not only for new accounts. The end of Brave rewards for Canadian users?
