Unfortunately, the original posting of this topic closed to changes yesterday, due to 30 days of inactivity. I am reposting it, because I solved the problem and want to post the solution I used. Not the most innovative solution I ever saw, but here it is.

ORIGINAL POST (Login to GoDaddy.com Produces Error Message)

  1. Surf to https://goDaddy.com
  2. Login

So far so good. Until the form is submitted
3. Big message comes up, saying browser is unusual, try enabling cookies

All extensions are disabled.

All cookies and other site storage is deleted

I am kind of stuck at this point.

Switching to firefox works, but who wants to do that?

Basically, rebuilt Brave profile.

I don’t know the root cause of the problem. I fixed it by exiting Brave, then deleting my brave Library, which triggered creating a new one on my next restart.

  1. Delete synch chain

  2. Exported bookmarks and passwords
2a. Made screenshot of extensions (Window->Extensions)

  3. Exit BraveNightly

  4. Renamed brave profile (on mac: /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware to
    /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftwareHOTROLL

  5. Start BraveNightly (automatically creates new folder: /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware

  6. Import bookmarks and passwords.
6a. Install extensions. Redo synch chain

Problem solved.
