Description of the issue: Manually check Brave Nightly “About Brave” and returns an error code 7 0x8004080880.
How can this issue be reproduced? --> manually open “About Brave” and receive error.
Expected result: Brave updater checks for updates.
Brave Version: Nightly v. 1.8.52 64 bit Windows
Additional Information: This bug appeared today and I then manually downloaded current version from https://brave.com/download-nightly/, which turned out to be the same version as last night’s update. Please see note below*.
Edit: Now the updater works fine.
*Please note: I received 2 updates on 3/27/20, which I thought was strange.
