Unsure if my 7 day free trial is fully cancelled or if I will still be charged when the period ends

Description of the issue:

Today I signed up for the 7 day free trial just to see if it’d work for my intended purpose and when it didn’t I decided to cancel it within a few minutes through the Play Store. My concern is that while the Play Store says it’s canceled, it also says that the subscription will cease a week from now (March 5th) which is also the day I’d be charged for it. Also, when I go into the VPN part of the app where I started the subscription I still have access to those premium features, and in the subscription settings it says nothing about it being canceled just that it expires March 5th.

So what I’m wondering is if this is just normal and this is how it’s supposed to look when cancelling the subscription through Play Store, or otherwise if there’s anything I can do to make sure I can cancel the subscription and that I won’t get charged for it? I’d really appreciate any help or advice as soon as possible.

At the bottom I’ve also attached a translated screenshot of what the Play Store shows after I’ve apparently cancelled the subscription, in case it helps.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Accept the 7 day free trial of Brave VPN premium.
  2. Cancel the subscription within the 7 day period through the Play Store.

Brave Version:

1.75.180

Mobile Device details

Android, Xiaomi 11i

Additional Information:

@otterdoesarts,
You’ll be able to use the service through the payment period. After that time has passed, you will no longer be able to use the service. If you canceled via the Play Store before the trial period is up, you will not be charged.

Okay, thank you! I was overthinking so I just needed to know for sure everything was working correctly. Again, thank you for the quick response!
