Unreadable UI in new tab page in light mode without background

Description of the issue:

The UI and text is unreadable in new tab page while using light mode and no background. It’s fine with dark mode.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Enable light mode in settings
  2. Disable new tab page background
  3. Check new tab page

Expected result:

UI colors should change according to mode

Brave Version( check About Brave):

1.74.51 and 1.77.17

Mobile Device details

Nothing Phone 2 - Android 15 (running stable Brave)
Mi A2 Lite - Android 15 (running Brave nightly)
