I hope you’re doing well. I’m writing because I was recently charged for a Brave Firewall +VPN subscription through my ShopeePay account. I only signed up for the 7-day free trial and completely forgot to cancel it. I honestly only turned the VPN on once during the trial just to test it, and turned it off right after — I haven’t used the feature since.
What made it more difficult was that I had just deposited money into my ShopeePay account to prepare for the Shopee 5/5 sale. I was shocked last night when I suddenly got charged through the Play Store for Brave Firewall + VPN. It automatically deducted the money I had just topped up.
That money was meant for very important things — my mother’s medication, some motorcycle parts for my daily commute, and our internet bill. I really wasn’t expecting a charge like that, especially for something I wasn’t actively using.
I’m not trying to take advantage — it was an honest mistake, and I canceled the subscription immediately after noticing the charge. I would really appreciate it if you could consider issuing a refund.
