Unable to Type in Login/Registration & Otherfields Fields on Brave Browser

Hello Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with the Brave browser that affects my ability to login or register on any website. When I click on the fields for entering my login or registration information, the fields disappear, preventing me from typing anything.

Here are the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Open Brave browser.
  2. Navigate to any website with a login or registration form.
  3. Click on the input field (e.g., username, email, password).

Expected behavior:

  • The input field should remain visible, allowing me to type the necessary information.

Actual behavior:

  • The input field disappears immediately after clicking, preventing any text entry.

To troubleshoot, I have tried the following:

  • Using Firefox and Microsoft Edge, where the issue does not occur.
  • Reinstalling the Brave browser.
  • Restarting my PC.
  • Clearing the browser cache and cookies.
  • Disabling all extensions.

Despite these efforts, the problem persists.

Please let me know if there are any known solutions or if additional information is needed to resolve this issue.

Thank you for your assistance.

Im having the same issue.

Same issue. This issue started with the latest update (v 1.66.118 Chromium 125.1.6422.17). If I use the More Tools => Open Guest Profile, it will open a new brave window and allow log in field input, just no saved profiles or pwd.

Same issue. Running on v 1.66.118 Chromium 125.0.6422.147.

The fact this is still happening after almost a month with 0 response from support is WILD. Literally breaks the functionality of the browser.

@vlasto421 and everyone else having issues.

  1. What version of Brave are you using? (specific version, such as 1.52.112 or something)

  2. Which OS? (Like Windows 11, Android 12, etc)

  3. Does this happen also in private window?

  4. Does disabling Shields have any impact?

  5. Assuming on desktop, does this happen in a new browser profile? (if you don’t know how to do this, it’s the hamburger menu image on upper right of browser → More Tools → Add new profile). This will have a browser profile with majority default settings and no extensions…test with it.
