Unable to turn off Predictive text in search bar

There is no option to turn off predictive text in the Brave homepage search box

I’ve read various answers on the web but they all indicate buttons which simply don’t exist anywhere in my settings either the native Samsung S10 5g ones or the Brave homepage ones.

Have they been deleted?
