Unable to turn back on statistics on homepage mobile

when i installed the brave browser on my phone (Samsung A53) i clicked on the eye with a cross through it icon, wondering what it would do. This made it hide the statistics for brave, and I am unable to turn them back on, even if i go into settings and enable statistics again.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. press the eye icon on the statistics on the home page on moble
  2. statistics go away
  3. reenable in settings and no change is made (settings → privacy report)

Expected result: privacy report re-appears

Brave Version: Brave 1.62.165
Mobile Device details: Samsung A53

You can enable it back on by going into Settings → Display → New Tab Page → Enable Show Brave Stats
