Unable to setup Brave Rewards w/ unexpected-error

What date did you verify your wallet?
March 6, 2023

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past?
Yes

Are you using a VPN? (yes/no)
No

Are you eligible for Brave Rewards (see here for list of supported regions)?
Yes

Are you on the list of supported regions when verifying Brave Rewards with a custodial partner (see here for list of supported regions)?

Does your device pass the SafteyNet check (Android only)?
Yes

Have you manually turned off Auto-contribute on all of your devices linked to a custodial partner?
No

Setup:
Install pull the latest from git
Run “npm run build – Debug” from the terminal.

Steps:
Once the browser is opened:

1. Tap on the BAT icon (located on the right of the URL input box)
2. Tap “Start Using Brave Rewards”
3. Select your country (e.g. “United States”)
4. Tap “Continue”

Actual Result:
User receives the following:

"Something went wrong

Unfortunately, there was an error while trying to set up Brave Rewards.
Please try again.

[Close button]

"

Expected Result:
No error and user can proceed to setup their BAT rewards account

Work Around:
Eventually after closing / killing the browser, I was able to setup my existing brave rewards.
