Unable to reset passcode on iOS even after reinstalling

Description of the issue: Although I don’t recall setting a passcode when I first downloaded Brave a significant time ago, apparently I did, and now I can’t disable it.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Have a passcode set on Brave.
  2. Uninstall the app.
  3. Reboot the iPhone entirely.
  4. Reinstall Brave.

Expected result: Uninstalling the app and rebooting the phone will remove the passcode. However, it does not do so.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.25 (21.5.4.19)
Device iPhone11,2 (iOS 14.5)

Additional Information:

It would be nice to have an option to reset the entire app, including clearing the passcode. Even after uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and reinstalling the app, there is still a passcode present that I cannot remove.

Very unfortunately, we haven’t a workaround for this issue yet. The internal team is looking into fixing these issues, and they’re hoping to have it out with the next update.

This issue is fixed, will be out in 1.26
