Unable to remove phone from Brave Sync

Sync could not be setup [Failed to Fetch].

I am receiving the above error messaging over and over without doing anything on the Sync settings.
I have an old phone synced to the chain and have been able to click on Remove Device and click on Ok then it states it will take a few moments. The device does not get removed and because of this the error message keeps popping up, not allowing me do anything else in the Sync settings. How can I remove this device permanently? I get the error message on my old and new phone. Both phones are LG K51 running Android 9 and am running Brave also on my Dell laptop running Windows 10. There is no error on my laptop but am unable to get past the constant pop up error message to sync my newer phone.
