Unable to open any link in a new tab in Brave for Android

Description of the issue:
No “Open in New Tab” option in context menu in Brave 1.0.77 in Android 8.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

Tap and hold on a link. There are only two options to Copy link text and to copy link address. No option to open a link in New Tab.

Expected result:

To have an option to open a link in New tab

On every link.

First, please search for existing thread before create a new post. You’ll find similar topics in this forum.

For Android, “easier” version can be found under Menu > Settings > About Brave.

It’s a known issue. We’ve an issue logged for that. If not changed, the fix will be available on 1.0.80. Closing in favor of https://community.brave.com/t/open-in-new-tab/44311/2?u=eljuno.
