Description of the issue:
unable to create directory '/run/user/1000/dconf': refuse connection. dconf will not work properly.

I have read some solutions but nothing eventually solved the problem.
When it is presented:
- When clicking links in thunderbird and using brave browser to open them
- Links do not open in brave browser but do open in firefox
What i did:
sudo chown -R $USER:$USER /run/user/1000/gvfs
- this stopt the message to appear BUT when according to here and very helpful!!!, running
sudo gedit /etc/apparmor.d/abstractions/ubuntu-helpers
i added/opt/brave.com/brave{,-beta,-dev,-nightly}/chrome_crashpad_handler Pixr,
- this happened after upgrade from 20.4 to Debian Bullseye 11.
dont forget to run … and problem solved!!!
sudo service apparmor restart
