Unable to block script for certain site

I am trying to block scripts on the following site

Trying to enable script-blocking simply refreshes the page without the slider being moved. Even globally blocking all javascript does not block javascript on this site.

I am using the following version

Version 1.19.86 Chromium: 88.0.4324.96 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I am using Ubuntu 18.
