Unable to access Brave Rewards section of browser

Description of the issue:
I am unable to access any Brave Rewards settings or add existing wallet. I have tried re-install however no luck. When I click new tab it tells me on the right hand side that I have 18.610 BAT however when clicking the Brave Rewards logo in the top right hand corner it shows a continual spinning loading circle. Typing “brave://rewards” I am shown “Your request is still being processed, please wait.” with a spinning circle again. and when loading “brave://rewards-internals/” I am shown a page that shows Wallet not created yet. However I have been using this laptop for years with no apparent issue up until now. I am also unable to backup my wallet because of this however I am not overly bothered about loosing the BAT that is already there if a complete reset is possible?

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave
  2. Click on rewards logo in the top right hand corner or type “brave://rewards”

Expected result:
Show brave rewards settings and allow me to verify my wallet as it has done on my other machine.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

OS - macOS Catalina Version 10.15.7

Sorry, can’t help. I know nothing about macOS and your issue is really confusing to me. Raises a ton of questions like… How can you do a reinstall and still have a BAT balance with no wallet id and a not connected wallet status as indicated in the images!? Did you back up the old brave browser/user data folder and replace it in the new install? Also, as far as I know, there is no backup function for Brave Rewards wallets. Is this some function of the macOS? Anyway, you don’t have to answer but if you do, that would be great! lol

Hi there all, I found a location to raise this with Brave Support and thankfully they have also got back to me. It seems my wallet is corrupt and to resolve the issue I had to reset my Brave profile by deleting the “Default” folder within the “ApplicationSupport” folder to get into any of the settings for the wallet. Since deleting that I have been able to access everything and it’s re-created all of my profile.

Thanks all for your input. :slight_smile:
