Unable to access any local websites or local ip's

Description of the issue:
Brave on Linux will not connect to local sites or some local ip’s
ex: my nas, if i type in “nas.local” it works fine on windows but not on Linux, same for typing in the ip of it.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave on Linux (fedora in my case).
  2. Type in a local ip or website (nas.local and 192.168.86.36 in my case).
  3. Get angry.

Expected result:
Me to be able to access my nas’s dashboard.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.78.102 Chromium: 136.0.7103.113
Additional Information:
I get two separate error codes when I try to type in the url vs. the ip, typing in nas.local rewards me with DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE and typing in its ip gives me ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT.
Although I will note that I can still access my router’s dashboard by typing in its ip so not everything is not working
