Umbrel.local works on my mobile device but not desktop

Description of the issue:
I can access umbrel.local on my Android device. I used to be able to access on my HP laptop but now it “can’t be reached”

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Must be using an Umbrel device
  2. Set up Umbrel via home wifi
  3. Go to umbrel.local

Expected result:
Should bring up the login page for Umbrel

Brave Version( check About Brave):
v1.80.113

Additional Information:
It sometimes works on the desktop but rarely. It hasn’t for a couple weeks.

Manually set a static IP address for the Umbrell device. So, you would connect to (for example):

http://192.158.0.55 instead of using http://umbrell.local

In BB settings, set the upgrade of HTTP → HTTPS to standard (or lesser grade).

Edit your computer’s hosts file; add a line:

192.158.0.55 umbrell.local

Search online, for suggestions re dealing with Local Area Network devices - settings of your computer’s Operating System - there may be some switch to throw.

Everywhere I have encountered the problem, I test with or use Firefox.
