I’m having the same issue on Linux Debian (desktop) and Android on mobile. I’ve tried to connect to Uphold on desktop and the connection has been established but the error still remains, even after I closed and re-opened the desktop browser. Both, desktop and mobile Brave are updated to latest version.
Anyway problem solved …
