Can I unblock torrent links when using the Thor tab?
Unfortunately, the Tor Project advises against using BitTorrent over Tor, because it doesn’t provide very good privacy protection for BitTorrent traffic (and because it’s a big drain on the Tor network, which is a shared resource with limited bandwidth).
Because of this, we at Brave have made no effort to implement torrent links through Tor and instead chosen to block them altogether to avoid giving users a false sense of security.
Could a protocol like BitTorrent be designed to be safe to use over Tor, and be implemented in Brave? Maybe, but that could also be a big research and engineering project!

We could allow users to simply download the .torrent file, though. I’ve opened an issue for that: https://github.com/brave/browser-laptop/issues/14706
