Typing capital “o” causes the browser to lock up and, in most cases, crash.

@nivekv which version number of Brave are you using? Also, are you using a non-Qwerty or non-English IME?

What are the specific details to cause this to happen? Are you typing anywhere or in a certain place like the address bar?

Thanks!

Good questions. I use Dvorak as my primary keyboard layout. It seems to happen in any text field I’ve tried so far, which have been here and Facebook.

Brave 0.15.310
rev 6b5e4e2
Muon 3.0.201
libchromiumcontent 58.0.3029.110
V8 5.8.283.38
Node.js 7.9.0

os.platform win32
os.release 10.0.15063

I just tried it on Bing, a random website without any text fields focused, and the address bar. All of which locked up for 3-5 seconds (seems like the crashing is less frequent than it first was).

I’m on OS X : 0.15.310
Qwerty Test oO
Dvorak Test oO

Is there some specialty IME you’re using or just Windows System Dvorak?

Have you tried vs Chrome?

I’ll be giving it a shot on a VM shortly.

I could not reproduce on Windows 7 ia-32 VM either.

Windows 10. Nothing special other than Insider edition. Seems it also affects Chrome. Here is a short video I just recorded in Chrome: https://1drv.ms/v/s!ApytdPYGDHFjkt9hjj3iWyLbffCcuQ

Seems to have been resolved in recent updates.
