Description of the issue:
This might be just user error, but I’ve turned on all the content shields and I’m still seeing ads on twitter’s timelines. The weird thing about this is that ads are blocked perfectly fine on Brave’s mobile app (which has somewhat different, memory-related issues with the site). There’s not really visibility on what content lists will block what, but if someone could help me figure out what I have to do to block twitter’s ads, I would greatly appreciate it.
@bobdaduck first thing I want to mention is that having all filter lists enabled as you’re showing can mean worse performance. You likely should just be using uBlock Annoyances and Fanboy's Annoyances.
When I just tested on my Desktop, I couldn’t see any ads. At first I was going to tell you to make sure adblocking was on Aggressive, but then saw mine wasn’t:
(And I’m also going to place my default on Twitter back to Aggressive like I generally do for all sites. Not sure why I removed, unless compatibility thing. No real reason except I like to leave it strict overall)
I guess try to have settings as I mentioned above. Other thing to be mindful of are extensions. Not sure if you have many, but if you do, try in private window or with a second browser profile. If no issues there, might suggest one of your extensions is screwing with adblock capabilities.
