Description of the issue:
Brave is particularly unresponsive on Twitter with or without Shields, compared to other browsers tested on the same machine. Hovering between elements is slow, clicking on items is often unresponsive, UI elements often drop frames (when clicking a heart, for instance).
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Install latest beta version (1.37.87) on macOS 12.2.1. Testing performed on M1 MBP, not Intel.
- Navigate to Twitter and sign in.
- Use normally (click links, make posts, chat).
Expected result: Expect Brave performance to be comparable to Safari or other Chromium browsers.
Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.37.87, but reproduces on latest public and nightly as well.
Additional Information: The behavior is somewhat intermittent; the site will sort of work normally for a bit, but there’s no reliable behavior that will consistently get it to perform poorly short of a long period of use. Clearing the cache will temporarily work around the behavior, but site elements are still far slower than other browsers.
