Twitter desktop website always crashes with "Aw Snap!" error

Description of the issue:

The Twitter home site: https://twitter.com/home crashes at different points while browsing or even loading the timeline. The message shown the “Aw Snap! Something went wrong displaying the webpage” page error. Clearing cookies and browsing on private mode does not resolve the issue.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Log into twitter.com
  2. Browse the timeline (https://twitter.com/home)
  3. Brave will eventually crash

Expected result:

Brave should not crash while browsing the Twitter timeline.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.44.101 Chromium: 106.0.5249.65 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:

Windows 10 Pro, 21H2. 16.0 GB RAM, i7-10700K CPU, Ge-Force 3060 GPU, running OS and application from SSD.

Thank you for reaching out and for the detailed report and sorry to hear you’re having trouble with Brave Browser. Can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue?

You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration

Additionally, please try to open a new page using private mode or guest mode. Let me know if that works and have a nice day! :wave:
