That’s a general error, it may seem its actually browser related (it’s not). Try testing in a different profile/clear cookies and cache.

Doesn’t work, still getting the same error.

The same is happening to me but on version 1.77.100
I even went as far as doing what mpql suggested trying here: Twitch no longer supports Brave - Browser Support - Brave Community

Also, I cleared all history/cache/cookies then restarted PC and ensured no VPN was active.

I can login through Microsoft Edge since it is a chromium derivitive but not Brave. Could they be singling out Brave or something? (I don’t know) but I wanted to chime in to state it isn’t just Sekyno having this problem. @fanboynz

I also have version 1.77.100 and get the same browser not supported error. Tried clearing all browser data, log in private window without any extension enabled, restarting PC, using a VPN and turning it off again etc. None of that worked. But what worked for me was creating an entirely new profile. This suggests some profile data is corrupted or setting is misbehaving due to an update of the browser or the OS.

After many testing and trials, I have narrowed it down to simply Twitch misbehaving with Brave’s graphics/hardware acceleration setting in the browser. I have to keep this setting enabled to log in to Twitch. Note that I also had to clear browser cache/cookies after toggling it on and restarting the browser (fully closing and opening again, not relaunch) in order to be able to log in (was able to replicate this much easier using private window).

I disable graphics/hardware acceleration when watching online videos in fullscreen to prevent flickering, as videos flicker in fullscreen mode when acceleration is enabled. (I frequently watch instructional videos.) This is a separate issue from the Twitch login problem.

Regarding the Twitch login issue, I created a new profile with graphics acceleration enabled, but the error persists. This new profile has no extensions installed beyond the default ones included with Brave. I tested with Widevine disabled and enabled, but the problem remains. I also cleared the browser’s cache and cookies and tested again on the new profile, yet the Twitch login issue originally reported by Sekyno persists in both Brave versions 1.77.97 and 1.77.100.

ps.
I tried with relaunch, and also tried with fully closing the browser – both results remained the same.

weird, I downloaded “unwanted twitch extension” and “Automatic Twitch: Drops, Moments and Points” and enabled them, and Brave started letting me login – what the heck. Something weird is going on but I was finally able to login. I didn’t have it installed in the past on Brave since this was a fresh Brave install. Just replying in hopes this works for someone else (no clue why this would have worked but it did…) like it did for me.
