Trying to log into causes Brave browser to crash

I access the website at and try to login by clicking on the “Login” link. A Div element pops up that contain the typical username and password inputs. I fill those in and click on the login button, and Brave immediately shuts down.

I am able to open Brave again and continue using it, but attempting to log into that website causes the same behavior, every time.


I forgot to add that this does not happen on any other browser I have tried.


any other sites give you trouble @valhar2000? also, did this site work before the update to 0.22.667? I’m thinking maybe related to Brave crashing on form submission, possible .NET captcha issue

I managed to reproduce your issue using 0.22.667 which is the version that was just released. However, I couldn’t reproduce this with the last released version which is 0.22.22 which leads me to believe that the issue is caused by the one @LaurenWags mentioned above. We’ve identified the issue and should have a release out ASAP.


Same here since the Brave update of 25/4/2018


I run the latest Brave, incl Lastpass extension.
Visiting results in a autofill of my netvibes password by Lastpass, but no username.
Then Brave freezes and crashes.
The same happens when I disable the Lastpass extension en login to Netvibes manually.

Steps to Reproduce

Open Brave with Lastpass enabled and a netvibes account. Go to en the rest will follow.

Actual result:
Brave is onverwacht gestopt.
Klik op ‘Open opnieuw’ om het programma opnieuw te openen. Klik op ‘Meld’ om meer informatie te bekijken en een rapport naar Apple te versturen.

Yup, we just released 0.22.669 [1] which fixes the issue. Again, apologies to everyone that was affected.
