Trouble enabling shopping ads section on Google page (even with Shields down)

Hi everyone!

I’m having an issue with getting the shopping ads section to show up on Google. Even after turning off Brave Shields for the site, the shopping ads just don’t appear. I’ve tested this on other browsers, and the shopping ads show up fine, so it seems to be something specific to Brave.

Does anyone know what else I can try or adjust in the browser settings to make this section work properly?

In a Brave Browser New Window, visit https://www.google.com/.

At the left end of the URL address field, to the left of the https, click on the “tune” icon; the result is a pop-down menu, ENABLE JavaScript, and reload the webpage.

Click the “tune” icon again and in the pop-down menu, select Site settings - the result should be a Brave Browser New Window at:

brave://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F

OR:

brave://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2Fgoogle.com%2F

Scroll down that page and ensure that JavaScript is ENABLED (Allow ← manually set to that).

Close the brave://settings . . . window.

Reload the https://www.google.com/ . . . window.

Click on the Site-Specific Brave Shields (the Lion) icon to the right, of the right end, of the URL address field.

In the resulting pop-down menu, set Trackers & ads to Block trackers & ads ( ← not Aggressive )

Enter your search criteria in the Google Search Engine search field. Test.

If test fails, go back to the Site-Specific Brave Shields (the Lion) icon, click on that, and set Trackers & ads to be disabled.
