Top Sites Issue

Brave front page ‘Top Sites’.

I installed brave and all was well. I had icons for 4 of my top sites on the page. Then I had to format my system and start over. The first thing was to re-install Brave. Now, even though I have ‘display top sites’ turned on, they never appear. So just wondering if there is something I can do to make them appear.
