I have an issue with brave browser on my Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS. I have the latest version of brave, I can download without an issue but any time I try to upload a file on any site, I immediately get an error message saying “this file is empty”. It happens with any type of file and with all files regardless of names (I have some with chinese characters bit I have tried to upload some with only latin alphabet with the same result). Files are not empty and are uploaded correctly on other browsers. The problem happens in private mode too so it is not an extension. I have downloaded brave through the software app of the GNOME project as flatpak
Description of the issue: Any uploaded file on any website is considered empty by Brave (and not firefox, haven´t tried with another chromium browser)
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open any website with upload function
- Select any file
Expected result: Get immediate error of “This file is empty” when it is not

Version 1.73.91 Chromium: 131.0.6778.85 (Official Build) unknown (64-bit)
Additional Information: Checked in private mode and got the same result, so it shouldn’t be any extension
