There is no save feature for brave search settings causing a need to manually select/unselect options every time i open brave to use search

Description of the issue:

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open browser type something for a search to run
  2. Go to search settings, advanced .. and personalize, safe search no, google fallback.sure, anonymous feedback maybe not this time .. randomize it whatever ..click save ..ooh wait there is none …
  3. Exit browser > repeat > those options werent saved you need to do it all again EVERY TIME ..kind of a nuisance

Expected result: to have to not repeatedly keep changing my search settings and options everytime i open my browser

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.76.81

Mobile Device details galaxy s24+ android 14

Additional Information: this has been an ongoing thing not just rhe current version of brave

For Brave Search settings to stick:

  • do not use Private Browsing
  • do not clear cookies

and do not block brave.com ← source of cookies and JavaScripts.

@S0meGuy all of those are saved in cookies. If you have anything clearing cookies, it will forget the settings. Just to check, are you clearing data on exit or anything?
