The saved passwords button has a response time of 20 seconds

Issue: Saving passwords takes a lot longer than expected.
Reproducing steps:

  1. open windows 11 version of the most up to date brave browser, not tested on windows 10, but im assuming the same problem arises.
  2. open literally any website and sign up for an account on that website, for example try this forum.
  3. when signing up you will have the option to save the password and the username to the browser, for quick signups. press the save button
  4. it saves it after spamming, or waiting for at least 20 seconds.

the user community strives on fast and quick response times either it is google or safari, i think the community is looking for reliable and robust password saves in under 20 seconds.

About Brave v 1.73.104

i am on windows 11, version 24H2

Not seeing this issue on Win10 or macOS — I’ve reached out to the team to see if they can reproduce this issue. To me this seems like it might be something cause by an extension you have installed? Dd you see the same behavior if you were to create a fresh profile?
