The icons of my favorites are deleted

Hi,
Without any reason, sometimes all the icons of my favorites are deleted. It’s unbearable, because I recognize my favorites only by their icon!
When I click on a bookmark, its icon updates.
It happened to me twice in two days. The last time was a few minutes ago, when I did alt tab.

You say this happens twice a day, would you be willing to try creating a test new profile, adding bookmarks and seeing if the issue persists?
Click on the menu icon in the top right corner > create a new profile.

Thanks for the advice, but if I create a new profile, will I lose my portfolio and all my settings ?

No. The new profile is independent. It has it’s own settings and history. This is just a test to see if the same issues occurs inside of a new profile. Just use the profile as normal - don’t make any changes to the settings or add any extensions.

Do you know if you have Sync enabled?

I disabled it because it bugged my favorites which were reset on the last synchronization.

This was happening to me when sync was enabled. I disabled sync and it hasn’t happened since.

Can you confirm if you’re still having issues with the favicon being reset / or if disabling sync fixed it?

Yes, but it happens sometimes, only when sync is enabled.
My favorites icons are removed, and / or my favorites are out of sync.
It is therefore much more practical to export my favorites as html, and to recover this html file if I want to recover my favorites.

Also, I noticed a bug when importing html favorites.
The order of favorites is sometimes mixed.

Yeah, we’ve had another user with the same issues and sync was the problem.
As you may know, Sync is disabled for a reason. We do have Sync v2 available on our Nightly build if you would like to give that a try - https://brave.com/download-nightly/
