"The Brave Rewards server is not responding." Error after closing uphold account?

Hello, i created an uphold account to see what i can do with the rewards. After i decided to look into it at later time, i requested them to close the account.

Since the account was closedi get the “Uh oh! The Brave Rewards server is not responding” error.
I didn’t verify the account, didn’t connect uphold with my reward wallet or take funds out of brave to uphold.

When opening the chrome://rewards/ page, the wallet was shown for half a second, then it switches to the error.

I tried to to restore the walled with my Brave Wallet Recovery Key. Now i have the same problem, the wallet restored Message shows for half a second, then it goes back to showing only the error, also some BAT are missing.

Did i delete my rewards by closing the uphold account?

Im on Win10 Desktop, and brave is up to date: Version 1.4.96 Chromium: 80.0.3987.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Hi @luu - in order to claim any BAT, you need to have a verified wallet and an account with Uphold. Just to confirm, are you wanting to claim the BAT that you have?

no i didn’t claim any rewards.
I created an uphold account to check out what i can do with BAT tokens.
Then i decided its not worth to verify the account to withdraw a few dollars, - better just use the BAT for tipps.
So i closed the uphold account, but since then i cant connect to the rewards server.

Now it seems my rewards are gone, or down to 4 BAT after the recovery (if i even can connect to the rewards server).
Its not that big of a deal since it was only about 25 BAT, but it would be interesting what caused the problem.

so reactivated my account with uphold and got my wallet back.

seems like closing an uphold account breaks the brave wallet and/or reward server connection.
