The 25 BAT problem for Brave Android

So I have 160 BAT in my uphold wallet, Brave rewards work fine on my laptop. But I have never been able to verify my Brave Android wallet. Is there not a way to just link your uphold wallet with the sufficient BAT to verify?
If not is it possible to send BAT to the mysterious wallet so I can verify?

Granted maybe I am being an idiot, but I cannot figure out this problem and it has been gnawing at me for a while.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Click rewards button
  2. Click verify wallet - get 25 BAT required message

Expected result:
I would expect to be able to connect to my existing Uphold wallet
