Taskbar thumbnail only shows 1 tab. No option to disable thumbnail

Brave 1.77.101 with Chrome 135.0.7049.115
Windows 10 Home x64 22H2

While the Brave icon in the Windows taskbar when hovered over with the mouse will show a preview of a web page, only one preview is shown, and is for the currently active tab. If multiple tabs are open in Brave, only 1 of them shows in the taskbar preview popup. This limitation is the same with Edge-C, and its preview popup on hovering over the Windows taskbar icon. Maybe this is a limitation of taskbar previews for Chromium web browsers.

Firefox will show multiple (stacked side by side) popup previews aka thumbnails for multiple tabs. I can pick any of the open tabs using the taskbar thumbnails, or even click on the “X” button in a thumbnail to close a tab. When I hover over the Firefox taskbar, and from the stacked thumbnails for multiple tabs, I can slide the mouse cursor over each thumbnail which has Firefox change to showing that tab. I haven’t yet selected a tab from the thumbnails, just hover over them to change which tab is displayed in Firefox itself.

Showing just the currently active tab is of little value. Brave is already showing that web page as the active tab. Since it had no added value to me, I was going to disable the taskbar thumbnail for Brave. I could not find an option to enable/disable the popup thumbnail when hovering over Brave’s taskbar icon. Some users want that noise, some don’t. Firefox lets users decide whether to see taskbar thumbnails (and they are stacked horizontally to show multiple open tabs), or not.

I searched in Settings on “taskbar” and “thumbnail”, but no hits. I went to brave://flags, and searched again, but still no hits. Showing only the currently active tab as a thumbnail on the taskbar icon is no value to me. Yet I cannot find an option to disable the taskbar thumbnail in Brave. Is there one?
