Tabs STILL FREEZING

#1

Please FIX the basic functionality of this browser before worrying about more intricate things like bitcoin stuff. I’m SO tired of fighting the freezing tabs issue. BACK UP AND FIX THE BASICS!!!

#2

What version of Brave and what OS are you using?

Getting freezing tabs here too. Intermittent so may not be easy to reproduce, although quite frequent. Requires restart of browser after killing it from Windows Task Manager.

Although this applies to an old version, do you guys experience this issue? https://github.com/brave/browser-laptop/issues/11593

I couldn’t agree more! But, I think it’s all volunteers-lighten up a little.

My wish list is to be able to have it remember more than 1 website when it opens.

I’m skeptical::> But, who else is going to provide an open source browser that looks after your privacy-Google sure ain’t gonna do it::>!!!

I do wish that they wouldn’t proceed with the payment policy without assurance that the websites we connect to won’t continue to rape our privacy as they do now-they have very close to unlimited power to probe the computer by the use of loading and executing remote executable content on your system!

I wish all who are here the best of luck and thank those who try to make Brave a little more user friendly

Also having this issue here too. It disappeared in a previous update, seems to be back.

When the tabs freeze, I cannot click on them. Mousing over them will sometimes show the web page, but not allow me to click and open the tab. Clicking the X to close the tab doesn’t function. It seems if the tab is the only one in that browser window, it won’t allow me to close the window, and I need to go to the task bar, right click on the Brave instance with the tab, right-click on it and close it.

I can’t reproduce easily, but I typically leave my browser running for longer period of times with multiple tabs in each window. I also put my laptop to sleep and wake it up, which could be contributing to this.

Also happening on Windows 7. This one is harder to reproduce. The memory leak that was there in an earlier version is gone. But the tabs freeze for no reason. It may be a correlation with pages with video, but I can’t be sure.

I have had to restart Brave five times today :frowning:
