Tabs keep popping up

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. I get these very annoying tabs popping up, the casino types.
  2. The adblock doesn’t seem to affect them.
  3. I thought it’s some kind of spyware or a tab producing this, so I uninstalled brave, cleared all my caches, history, etc. I also ran a cleanup on my pc. but those f***** tabs keep popping up, even when the browser runs in the background.
    I compared it to chrome, no pop-ups in chrome.

Expected result: Stopping pop-up tabs

If you’ve uninstalled the browser and those tabs keep popping up, you may have some sort of malware on your machine. I’d re-run any antivirus/malware removal software you have/have access to. Additionally, did you delete all Brave files found in ~AppData/Local/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser?
