my tab view is hidden what is the reason for this, there was no problem before, now it is closed and this is something I don’t like

Go to settings → Accessibility → Turn off ‘simplified view for open tabs’

Just had the same issue. All my tab groups disappeared. Giving me a long list. Clicking on one would open a tab with a number. Clicking another would open with sane number.
Solution WORKS !!
Question is WHY DID THIS HAPPEN
