So, I right-clicked on a tab, and instinctively pressed ‘T’ to open it in a new tab – as one could to with any link in any part o f any browser on any page ever… only, it turns out, what is universally the “new tab” button literally everywhere else; is the delete button in Brave (I know right? Let’s hope they don’t design cars and then make the handbrake the accelerator)
Can this flaw be fixed?
And can I recover the bookmark?
Because I have no idea what the URL was.
Right-click on a bookmark and then press T will delete it.
How to open bookmark in a new tab.
You can fix the first one by go to Settings → System → Shortcuts and then search “Bookmark bar remove”, click add button and just assign any key to it. After that you can delete those assigned keys and now pressing T will no longer causing the bookmark to be deleted.
This is probably a Brave’s bug, so hope that developers will pay attention to this post. You can also open an issue on their github(https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues) to report there.
As for the second one, you can just click the middle button of your mouse to open it in the new tab.
