Sync was activated today. How dows it work? Curious

Happy to see Sync is now activated. Tried it, and it worked.

Delay time is about 1 or 2 minutes, which is totally fine.

Wondering how this works under the hood.

Are you (Brave devs) using a syncing “engine” that relies on Google Cloud or AWS? Or is this being done on a blockchain?

I ask about blockchain since I noticed one needs to sync via QR code, and this isn’t account-based.
