Sync History that was not manually entered into address bar

Google documentation states that when end2end encrypted profile sync is enabled “all your history won’t sync on all devices. Only web addresses that you enter in Chrome’s address bar are synced.”. That sounds borderline unusable to me.

I couldn’t find a similar limitation in Brave browsers’ documentation, but it says Sync v2 more closely resembles Google Chrome’s sync protocol.

Could you please confirm for me that Brave browser’s sync does not have the same limitation? Namely that all history is synced, regardless of whether it is manually entered in the address bar, or if I click a link.
And secondly could you please add this question and answer to the FAQ linked above for people like me that have the same question.

Thanks in advance!

@crank765,
All history is synced using Brave Sync. There is a 30,000 limit to synced entries however.

What happens on 30,001? Does the oldest fall off or does it decide to clear all history? I ask because I just had my history disappear from the Linux version of Brave.

I believe the oldest entry will simply “fall off” as you stated.
