Sync Chain not working | Sync between an old and new device

I’m having trouble trying to sync chain a redmi note 4 with a redmi note 13. Both use the same brave version(1.60.125). The first time i did that, i had a no sync data message pop up in my older device, which meant i had sync off in my android settings. Later, i turned that on, in both devices and the issue still persists. I’m not able to sync up anything.

@VeloRZ,
That’s a fairly outdated version of the browser and is likely the cause of the issue. I’ve asked our Sync team if outdated versions like this are still expected to Sync normally. In the meantime, can you please go to (on the device where you first started the Sync chain) brave://sync-internals and share a screenshot of this page with me?

Did you install Brave through the Play Store initially? Or did you download it from somewhere else?

Play Store was the one i used for it.

@VeloRZ I believe that the reason you cannot see this page is due to the fact that the browser needs to be able to download the component in order to do so. However, what is likely happening is that the Play Store does not store those components forever. Since you’re using such an outdated browser (the version you’re using was released on November 2nd, 2023), this is likely the cause for both not being able to see the Sync-internals page and your Sync issues in general.

I think the best course of action to take would be to download the latest version of the browser.
